Depression can present in many ways. The experience of people who suffer with depression is unique. However, below are some of the common symptoms associated with depression.

  • Continuous low mood
  • Feeling tearful
  • Intense feelings of guilt
  • Having no motivation
  • Having suicidal thoughts
  • Thoughts of self-harm
  • Chronic over-thinking
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Feelings of hopeless
  • Low self-esteem
  • Becoming irritable
  • Losing interest in things
  • Melancholy
  • Avoiding social interaction
  • No longer partaking in hobbies
  • Moving or speaking more slowly
