Review and Update

Risk assessments should be periodically reviewed and updated. Workplaces and businesses are often changing. Therefore, it is important that your risk assessments do the same. A risk assessment must be reviewed and amended if it is no longer valid.

A risk assessment will need to be reviewed and updated if:

  • There has been significant change to the environment
  • Change of process or work method
  • Change of machinery, plant, tools, substances or materials used
  • Change in legislation
  • After an accident or near miss
