Manual handling causes around 20% of all workplace injuries. That’s 1 in 5 people injured at work. These injuries include a variety of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) such as pains, strains and injuries to arms, legs, back and joints. Around 6.5 million working days were lost due to work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), an average of 14 days lost per case.
